 Memorial day long weekend 20 years ago ... 

We'd delayed leaving PORTLAND that afternoon to enjoy a "Cheat meal", high carb Chicken bakes at COSTCO. We should have remembered that CARBS are dangerous and rather left 30 minutes earlier!

Now we were racing up the Columbia river valley, trying desperately to find our lost son, but would we?
